All-State Teachers Workshop, New Music Reading Clinic, Annual Meeting
August 9-11, 2012 - Concordia College, Moorhead

Student Membership Subsidy for new student members who apply between August 1 and October 31.

October 20 -- Awards presented at the Clinic and Luncheon

Fall Clinic, Luncheon and Awards Presentation

Mary West Solo Competition
Solo competition in 4 age groups.
October 8 — Application Deadline
November 6 — Competition at Augsburg College
November 20 — Winners Recital at Lake Harriet United Methodist Church - map
April 1, 2012 3:00 p.m. — Grand Prize Winner in performance with the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra

Fall String Camp
Students in grades 6–8 participate in one of 3 levels of orchestra.
October 14 — Registration Deadline for Students, Teachers, Chaperones and College Interns
October 28-30, 2011 — Fall String Camp weekend at Camp St. Croix

Middle Level Honors Orchestra
Students in grades 7–9 are selected by online audition to perform at the MMEA Convention.
November 1-18 — audition window open on Arts App
November 15 - application deadline
February 17-18 — Rehearsal at Northwestern College, Roseville; performance at MMEA Convention, Minneapolis

Middle Level Orchestra Festival
Orchestras from grades 6–9 perform at one of three festivals around the state.
December 9 — Registration Deadline for all sites
February 14 — Hopkins; February 21 – Monticello; February 24 — Stillwater
March 26 — Tier 2 at Orchestra Hall, Minneapolis

Board Elections
January 3 — Nominations due

Eclectic Strings Competition
Competition in 3 age groups for all folk music traditions, jazz, rock, etc.
February 20 - DVD/VHS Application Deadline
April 7, 2:00 p.m. - Winners Concert at McNally Smith College of Music, St. Paul

Chamber Music Competition
Occurs every two years. Next competition will take place February 2013

Summer camp for students in grades 7–12
