SPCO Youth Chamber Music Competition

Winners will be announced following the competition

MNSOTA has formed a partnership with the SPCO Youth Chamber Music Competition.

General Info:

Competition for students 19 years or younger, who are not enrolled in a college degree program, in chamber ensembles comprised of strings, brass, winds, percussion and/or piano.

Four Levels of competition:
Level A: Video, Semifinal and Final rounds
Level B: Video and Semifinal rounds only; for students age 15 and under
Level C: Video round only, for feedback
"Creative" Category: e.g. traditional national music, fiddle music, jazz etc.

Important Dates:
• Between January 15 and February 5, 2017, contestant ensembles may begin sending their uploaded videos and application materials. Click HERE to apply and upload videos. Late entries will not be accepted.
• Week of February 19: Level A and B ensembles receive screening committee's decision
• Saturday, March 10 - Live Semifinal Round, Sundin Hall, Hamline University - map
• Sunday, March 18 at 2:00 PM - Finals/Winners Recital, Sundin Hall, Hamline University - map

There will be prizes and awards for five ensembles.
