Fall String Camp for Grades 6-8
YMCA Camp St. Croix, Hudson, WI
October 26-28, 2007

General Information
This is our fifteenth year offering the Fall String Camp for students in grades 6-8.  The camp will be be at Camp St. Croix in Hudson, Wisconson. Students are placed into one of three ability-grouped orchestras.  During the three day camp, students are involved in large group rehearsals, sectionals, supervised recreation, game and movie night and bingo.  It has become an exciting and fun-filled learning experience for the campers.

Usually the camp fills to capacity before the deadline, so send in your registration early! If possible send registration forms as you receive them instead of waiting to have them all collected, because registration is on a first come-first served basis by date of postmark. All participants must be students of a MNSOTA member.

For more detailed information download the General Information Form and the Camp Map & Tentative Schedule (see below).

Student Registration Information
Registration Forms must be returned by October 11, 2007

Cost is $125 and covered tuition, room & board, and a MNSOTA String Camp t-shirt

Read the Student Registration Information and Form for more details.

Teacher Participation
This camp is run on a volunteer basis to keep costs as low as possible for the students.  We have discovered the importance and fun in having the orchestra directors attend the camp to help chaperone their students, lead sectionals and help in rehearsals.  There are numerous incentives provided for teachers to participate. Please read the Teacher Registration Information for more details.

College Interms
College string students and mature high school students (age 18 or older) are needed to help guide and supervise the students.  Their duties include assisting with registration on the first day, assisting with rehearsals and recreational time, and supervising students during meals and in the dorms.  More details about expectations, duties and how to sign up can be found in the Chaperone/Intern Registration Information.
